Moen Marin, the world’s largest supplier of aquaculture working boats, is expanding with the acquisition of the advanced propulsion business PMH Norway.
PMH Norway will become a subsidiary of Moen Marin and will continue under the same brand name. The company has 16 employees with broad mechanical, electrical and technical expertise.
Moen Marin says the deal will allow it develop and deliver vessels with far more integrated and functional total solutions, which will benefit customers at home and abroad.
Bernt Lilliestråle, CEO of Moen Marin said: “This acquisition is in line with our vision to strengthen and promote sustainable, high-tech and cost-effective maritime solutions.
“Through many years of cooperation, we know PMH’s products well. They are stable, solid and very well adapted to our market. By including the company in our portfolio, we see opportunities to further develop total products for our customers.”
He added: “Our customers are interested in robust solutions with few integrations, and with this we further strengthen the good solutions we have in our service and work boats.”
Kåre Vevik, CEO of PMH Norway said: “We are delighted to have Moen Marin as owners. We will keep the name and much will remain the same, but we have products that we have wanted to develop further and sell to both existing and new markets. Now we are getting the muscles to implement this and grow further.”
PMH Norway also offers a wide range of dynamic positioning and manoeuvring systems, hydraulic systems and deck equipment for customers in offshore, passenger transport, fishing, as well as shipping and aquaculture.
