SalMar has ended 2024 with its final quarter harvest more than 9,000 tonnes lower than 12 months ago.
The total output for the company during the October to December period was 73,800 tonnes against 83,200 tonnes in Q4 2023.
The figures do not include the contribution from Scottish Sea Farms, which it shares with the Leroy Seafood Group.
That should be announced when the final quarter report is published on 18 February.
SalMar is the world’s second largest producer of Atlantic salmon after Mowi, but like many Norwegian companies it was affected by jellyfish and other biological issues last year which have affected output.

Meanwhile, SalMar has become an official sponsor of the Nordic World Ski Championship, delivering more than 10,000 fish meals to visitors, competitors and officials alike.
