Lerøy hires Seafood Norway's Valland as PR chief

Lerøy Seafood Group has hired Aina Valland as Communications Manager, with a brief to build up a new department for external communications, community and government contacts in the company. She was previously Director of Public Relations at Seafood Norway (Sjømat Norge). She has held various roles over the past 21 years and has a degree in environmental and resource engineering from NTNU in Trondheim. Valland has also previously worked in environmental consultancy and certification. She takes up her new role as from 15 October. CEO Henning Beltestad said: “We are very pleased to have such a competent and capable resource with extensive experience in the development of the future of Lerøy.” Aina Valland said: “I am looking forward to taking on this exciting task and working together with many talented people in Lerøy. I am passionate about the seafood industry and Lerøy is a significant player. I haven't had a dull day at Sjømat Norge and the new role means that I will still collaborate a lot with the organisation.”
