The Norwegian Seafood Council has taken on Findus executive Karine Rød Haraldsson as its seafood envoy to the United States.
Haraldsson is currently Business Manager at Findus Norway, where she has been responsible for various customers in the value chain, QSR in the Nordics and other export-oriented businesses.
She takes over from Anne-Kristine Øen who has led in the US for the past five years.
With 12 years of experience at Findus and previous work at Nortura, she has gained solid expertise in marketing and sales.
She also has valuable experience in the American market, including through her responsibility for international customers at Findus and recently as project manager for a salmon retail project in the United States.
She said: “I feel very privileged to be allowed to work to promote seafood products in the US at a time that can be demanding for the export industry.
"The USA is a large market with unimaginable opportunities. I see five ways to build on the collaboration we have with exporters today and help them succeed with both existing and new products in the years to come.”
Karine Haraldsson will take up her position at the Seafood Council on 2 May. Ahead of that, next month she will participate in the Seafood Expo North America trade show to get to know Norwegian exporters and the local value chain better.
The Seafood Council has also strengthened its US team with the appointment of Hilde Larsen Mostue, who comes in as manager in the marketing department.
