The February 2025 issue of Fish Farmer features the findings of a highly critical report on the salmon industry from the Scottish Parliament’s Rural Affairs and Islands Committee, and Salmon Scotland’s robust response to the politicians.
Also in this issue, we report on welfare concerns in Norway, and calls for tightening the rules on humane fish slaughter. We look at how Scottish Sea Farms tackled a lethal fungal infection at its hatchery at Barcaldine, and at research into triploid salmon.
