Aquaculture America 2024 will take place over February 18-21, 2024, at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio, Texas USA.

The event is organised by the World Aquaculture Society.

At this point it looks like Aquaculture America 2024 will be the largest Aquaculture America ever. The exhibit Hall is almost full, the program includes over 70 sessions over the 3 days. Registration is above normal levels at this point, the organisers say.

Two keynote speakers have been announced for the Plenary Sessions.

Loni Greninger is Tribal Council Vice-Chair of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, based in Washington State, which has campaigned for the right to practice sustainable fish farming. Her talk, entitled “Ancient tribal stewardship, contemporary tribal aquaculture” will set out her and her community’s vision for aquaculture on America’s Pacific coast.

Robert Jones is the Global Lead for The Nature Conservancy’s Aquaculture Program. The program consists of active projects in seven countries designed to ensure aquaculture operates in harmony with nature and provides benefits to people. Robert led the development of “Towards A Blue Revolution: Catalysing Investment into Sustainable Aquaculture Production Systems,” a first of its kind co-authored report with Encourage Capital that provides guidance for impact investing in the aquaculture sector.

The organisers have warned that the host hotel is filling up fast so those wishing to attend should not wait to make their reservations. The early registration rate ends on 26 January.
