Mowi executives Scott Nolan and Piotr Kapinos have been appointed as directors on the board of Wester Ross Fisheries. Nolan is Sales and Operations Director (UK, Ireland, Faroes & Iceland) with Mowi and Kapinos is Finance Director with Mowi Scotland.

Mowi Scotland acquired Wester Ross in June last year, but the company still trades as Wester Ross Salmon.

David Robinson, who was one of those involved in the management buy-out of Wester Ross in 2006, is no longer a director of the company.

The board changes were disclosed yesterday but dated 30 June, a year to the day since Mowi’s takeover of Wester Ross was reported at Companies House.

Wester Ross is Scotland’s oldest independent, owner-operated salmon farm. It was founded in 1977 and operates three seawater sites in the northwest Highlands of Scotland: Loch Kanaird, Loch Broom and Little Loch Broom. The company also operates its own processing facility in Dingwall, in the north of Scotland.

In August last year it was announced that Gilpin Bradley, former Managing Director at Wester Ross Fisheries, had been appointed as Business Development Director – Farming, Scotland with Mowi.
