Loch Duart on the Downing Street Coronation menu
Independent producer Loch Duart’s salmon was on the menu at the Coronation Big Lunch at 10 Downing Street yesterday.
The smoked Loch Duart salmon is from Valley Smokehouse, known for supplying Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, and other high-end restaurants, and was delivered by Flying Fish Seafoods who hold two Royal Warrants and supply Michelin-starred chefs and restaurants across the UK.
Chris Orr, Sales Director at Loch Duart, said: “We are so proud to see Loch Duart recognised, once again, as unrivalled world-class salmon fit to be served as part of the official Coronation celebrations. Our partnership with Valley Smokehouse, who smoke our produce, and Royal Warrant holder Flying Fish, meant Downing Street guests enjoyed delicious salmon from one of the world’s last remaining, truly Scottish, farmed broodstock. Loch Duart would like to congratulate their Majesties, King Charles III and Queen Camilla on their Coronation.”
Loch Duart has been served at official Royal events over the years, including the wedding of William, Prince of Wales and Catherine, Princess of Wales and at the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.
