Speakers confirmed for SAGB conference
Ministers from the UK, Scottish and Welsh governments will be addressing the UK’s shellfish producers this May at the industry’s annual conference.
Victoria Prentis, Minister of State at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) will be the keynote speaker for the opening of The Shellfish Association of Great Britain (SAGB) conference, which takes place over 10-11 May.
Delegates will also hear from Lesley Griffiths, Minister for Rural Affairs with the Welsh Government and Mairi Gougeon, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and Islands with the Scottish for Rural Affairs and Islands.
Other speakers include Katrine Sasaki, Head of Market Opening and Agriculture with the British Embassy in Tokyo; Aoife Martin, Operations Director with Seafish; and Alex Adrian of Crown Estate Scotland.
The venue for the conference is Fishmongers’ Hall, London and delegates will also be attending a fundraising black tie dinner on the evening of 10 May.
