London showcase for aquaculture innovation
LONDON will play host again to the Aquaculture Innovation Europe summit, which brings together industry innovators and potential investors.
The event, to be held from September 10-11, will feature emerging aquaculture companies with interests in health, nutrition and digital technology.
As in previous years, the format of the two-day conference provides an innovation showcase for selected companies to make their pitches to an audience of aquaculture experts and financiers.
Each of the twelve start-ups making presentations will be seeking financial investment or strategic partnerships with large corporate firms.
Plenary sessions will cover the economics of salmon farming, specifically for investment bankers interested in aquaculture, insight into how market leading companies are using digital innovations to prevent disease, and market analysis on the major trends influencing the aquaculture markets globally.
Speakers and contributors to the summit include Amy Novogratz, founder and managing partner of Aqua-Spark; Carsten Krome, founder of Alimentos Ventures; Matthias Hofer, founding partner of CAH Capital; Bjorgolfur Havardsson, R&D director of the Seafood Innovation Cluster; Neil Wendover, of Cargill Digital Insights; Christian Rangen, founder of X2 Labs; and aquaculture experts Jason Cleaversmith and Ian Thomson, among others.
For companies wanting to take part in the innovation showcase at the conference – to be held at at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel, London – the deadline for submissions is June 28.
